When it comes to sweet treats, there is nothing that says dessert quite like cookies. And what better to dunk in your glass of cold milk than a few Oreos. But just because there are some amazing Oreo choices, like the standard cookie, the double stuff, and even the golden cookie, there are actually some crazy flavors out there as well.

Even some of the cookies that seem relatively simple can be a bit wild when you think about what a traditional Oreo tastes like. From Hot Chicken Wing to Pumpkin Spice, here are some of the wildest flavors of Oreo that have been on the market. How many of these crazy flavors have you tried?

10 Crazy Oreo Flavors

Hot Chicken Wing

Like we just mentioned, one of the craziest flavors announced might have to be the Hot Chicken Wing Oreo. As People Magazine reported, this flavor is currently available in China, and is the classic chocolate cookie stuffed with a bright orange cream that tastes just like the hot chicken wings we usually eat with blue cheese or ranch dressing.

Wasabi

Another crazy flavor that was released with the Hot Chicken Wing Oreo is the Wasabi flavored Oreo. Once again these cookies come with the traditional chocolate outer layer, but it is the inner cream that gives you the pop of both flavor and color that is wasabi. Here is a cookie no one saw coming, but is apparently wanted by plenty.

Apple Pie

The Apple Pie Oreo is one that might not seem as out there as the more savory cookies already mentioned, but it is still a flavor we were not expecting. With a golden cookie outer layer, and a cream that calls to mind fresh-baked apple pie, here is one cookie that seems to be a real twist on a classic. On top of that, it actually messes with the mind a bit as you try and figure out if what you are eating is an Oreo or a piece of apple pie.

Fruit Punch

The Fruit Punch Oreo was an exclusive cookie sold at Walmart. It featured the traditional golden cookie with a vibrant pink cream that really did taste like Kool-Aid’s fruit punch. Honestly, here was a cookie that was almost too sweet for comfort and definitely left us covering the milk instead of going in for the dunk.

Pumpkin Spice

If ever there was a fall flavor it would be the Pumpkin Spice. From Starbucks to creamers, Pumpkin Spice is the “In” flavor of the season. And of course Oreo capitalized on this flavor sensation. Originally released in 2014, the cookie has actually been so popular that it has made a comeback a few times. We still consider this a crazy flavor, even as it is a rather popular one.

Cotton Candy

Another flavor introduction that had us questioning the decision-making process was the Cotton Candy Oreo. The outer cookie was the standard golden vanilla, while the inner cream was blue and pink cotton candy flavor. Here was another sweet treat that was almost too sweet for comfort, even as it definitely reminded us of warm weather and state fairs.

Watermelon

If ever there was an Oreo we really didn’t love, it would have to be the Watermelon flavored cookie. The golden cookie, with its pink and green cream filling was first introduced in 2013, and definitely received mixed reviews. Considering the sweet nature of watermelon and the fact that some people felt the cream had an artificial after-taste, we definitely call this a crazy flavor.

Lemon Twist

Okay so we love the Lemon Oreos, but the Lemon Twist left us scratching our heads. These were chocolate cookies filled with a lemon cream, and that was our problem. Combining chocolate with lemon just doesn’t seem like the best idea, but for some people it was a flavor combination that seemed to work. But as a whole we just find this mix a bit to crazy for our liking.

Red Velvet

Okay, so the Red Velvet Oreo is one that is equal parts loved and wild. The cookie is red, just like the name of the cake implies and the cream is actually cream cheese-flavored. It’s a cookie that really calls to mind the classic cake flavor. It’s a flavor that has actually remained popular for many, but is still one of the more unique options out there.

Candy Cane

With a chocolate cookie outside and a cream filling that is red and white like the candy cane itself. It’s a minty chocolate cookie that is weird but perfect for the holidays. Here was a cookie we never knew we wanted or maybe even needed.

There have been many interesting Oreo flavors released, and while this is just 10 of the wild flavors that have been sold, we can’t wait to see what else the company has in store for us in the future. And now that the company has decided to give us a flavor like Wasabi, we bet they are going to start bringing us more savory combinations that are just as off-the-wall.
