When it comes to planning your wedding, you may be trying to find the perfect theme. Or maybe you already know what you want, but are looking for the perfect tips, tricks, and ideas to make your dreams a reality. That’s why we are here to help.

We know that planning for the big day can be tricky, but when you need a little bit of assistance that’s where wedding planning ideas come in handy. We know how hard it is to plan the perfect wedding, but if you are looking for a Disney theme for your big day (without having to go to one of the amusement parks or spending a lot of money), we have some ideas that will give you the magic you want.

When you think of the perfect Disney fairytale, what comes to mind first? Perhaps it is the Happily Ever After, or the elaborate wedding dresses (we see you Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty), but there are plenty of little ways you can bring the magic of fairy tales to your wedding, including picking one of your favorite stories and adding touches from it to make it part of your big day. From the wedding cake to the attire, you can make your wedding a Disney wonderland, without going too far.

Beauty and the Beast

If you are looking to bring some of the magic of Beauty and the Beast to your wedding, there are a few ways you can make this work, including taking some inspiration from Belle’s iconic yellow dress.

In honor of the yellow dress, we suggest finding a buttery yellow dress for your bridal party that gives you the romantic vibes of Belle’s gown. And of course, we can’t forget the single red rose that dictated Beast’s fate. To bring the rose to the wedding, you could place a single red rose as part of a centerpiece, including using a glass dome over it. Since the red rose dropped a lot of petals over Belle’s time in the castle, you can use red rose petals as part of the decor as well.

Cinderella

Cinderella is an iconic Disney princess and there are plenty of ways to bring the magic of her story into your Wedding. One way is to use a glass slipper as part of a centerpiece or even having the slipper on your invitations (we have seen some lovely invites with a glass slipper and using quotes from the movie).

If you loved the stunning light blue gown that Cinderella wore to the ball, you could even include a pop of blue in your own dress, while also finding bridesmaids dresses that are in the same color. And going back to the invitations, you could go with the light blue for the paper and the envelopes.

On the tables, your place cards could feature tiny castles straight out of the movie or even little glass slippers. Even your cake could have a touch of the Cinderella magic.

Tangled

For Tangled lovers, pulling colors from the movie as part of your theme is a great way to incorporate the magic of that movie. Bring in white and cream roses for your centerpieces. Add yellow ribbon to the decor.

Even your invitations can get a Tangled touch with pops of pinks and purples, while also including castles and even a golden braid running down the side.

You may want to incorporate music from the movie in your wedding reception, and with songs like “When Will My Life Begin” and “Kingdom Dance,” you have some good options to work with.

Alice in Wonderland

If you are an Alice in Wonderland fan, you may want to feature a cake that is reminiscent of the Mad Hatter and the March Hare. Or perhaps you could have tiny bottles of champagne (or wine) at each place setting with a little tag that says “Drink Me.” And of course, we love the idea of the small snacks and treats of the hors d’oeuvres looking just like something you would find at a Wonderland tea party.

Your table setting cards could even look like playing cards with hearts on them. And your invitations could have a touch of whimsy to them as well, whether you choose to incorporate the Cheshire Cat or another character on them.

However you decide to bring the magic of Disney into your wedding, we know that it will be stunning and beautiful with a lot of color and whimsy. The magic of love and marriage is stunning enough, but if you add in some Disney whimsy, we think it will kick it up a notch or two.
