Attention, attention folks! Krispy Kreme has limited edition doughnuts out right now for the holidays – and they are adorably delicious! Known for keeping up with the season’s trends, they made several returns with their “Santa Belly Doughnut” which has Krispy Kreme’s signature chocolate cream on the inside, and in the fall season with their “Pumpkin Spice Doughnut” that would make any Starbucks lover line up for one. Their newly limited edition holiday doughnuts are known as the “Ugly Christmas Sweater Collection” and are here to stay for the holidays – and only the holidays.

Thankfully, I got a hint of this before the end of their specialty doughnuts for the season. I was able to try every single flavor and let me tell you – these holiday doughnuts left no room for disappointment. They all were perfect with the holiday flare, and the taste remained faithful to the original Krispy Kreme. I suggest you go out and get a dozen of the Ugly Christmas Sweater Holiday Doughnuts because some of the designs might not make a return for the next year!

On the top row we have:

Ugly Sweater (variation 1), Holiday Plaid, and Chocolate Holiday Sprinkles.

Second row:

Cinnamon Swirl Doughnut, and Original Glazed

Third Row:

Santa Belly, and Ugly Sweater (variation 2).

Review on the Doughnuts:

Although these doughnuts look festive, their taste is still the classic, old Krispy Kreme goodness. In the Ugly Sweater doughnut, there is green icing, with sprinkles and a sugar character on top. There is no filling on the inside of these. However, there is filling in the Santa Belly! The Santa belly is red icing with decorations of Santa’s belt! The festive holiday doughnut contains chocolate cream inside. Be warned though – consuming these doughnuts will cause your mouth to be red or green! But at least you will match with the Christmas spirit!

As for the Holiday Plaid and Chocolate Holiday Sprinkles doughnut, they are classic doughnuts with adorable Christmas decoration. They are not as thick with the icing like the Santa Belly and Ugly Sweater, so if you are looking for something a little lighter, this is the one for you! I loved how light and fluffy they were in comparison to the other two, which makes this perfect for someone with a light sweet-tooth.

For the Cinnamon Swirl Doughnut, imagine a cinnamon bun as a doughnut. It’s warm, gooey with a cinnamon swirl, and topped off with a cream cheese icing. It was a new doughnut for 2018 but stayed on from the fall into the Holidays.

Let’s not forget their latest release… The Gingerbread Holiday Doughnut

That’s right – Gingerbread Glazed Holiday doughnut and it’s only going to be around (just like the other holiday-themed delights) until December 24th. After that, they are gone again for another year!

This doughnut out of all of the holiday-themed doughnuts screamed Christmas. It tastes exactly like gingerbread but in a soft and sweeter form. Despite it being a little on the sweeter side, it does not lose its spices and stays true to the gingerbread taste. I highly suggest giving this doughnut a try, especially those of you who adore gingerbread.

Make a difference this holiday season and help us save Gingerbread people. Eat Gingerbread Glazed Doughnuts instead! Available until Christmas Eve. pic.twitter.com/QaINJegRJf
