The guy you have just met seems attracted to you but he’s flirty, and you are not sure what his intentions are. Is he or is he not interested in you?

A flirty guy can ooze confidence: he’s charming, captivating, slightly mischievous, and will probably have a great sense of humor. This flirt is easy to recognize as he’s almost always surrounded by friends and acquaintances. He thrives on being admired and will work his charm on you, in other words, he will flirt openly.

There is, however, another type of flirt – this quiet flirt is more of an introvert who doesn’t try to impress, it’s just not his style. His flirtatious nature won’t be obvious; he won’t give any of the obvious telltale flirty signs. On the contrary, this flirty guy is the three C type – calm, collected and entirely in control.

To find out if your flirty guy wants to pursue a relationship you need to see how he reacts when you are alone. You have to check out his body language when you converse. A couple of subtle question might help – not the yes/ no – question and answer type but open-ended questions where your flirty guy has to open up and talk to you. This is when you look out for the red flags, the way he conducts himself in your company, an excellent guide to see how interested he is in you.

You don’t need a long list of heavy questions, it will only frighten him away and make you sound intrusive and pushy. The right questions, however, will keep a conversation going.

Here are some examples:

Holiday questions

What sort of holiday do you like?
Do you like going abroad?
What countries have you visited?

Questions relating to work

What’s the best thing about your work?
Is work satisfaction vital for you?
What is the most beautiful compliment you have ever received at work?

Questions relating to Friends

Do you think there’s a difference between friends and acquaintances?
How essential is friendship for you?
Do you have a best friend?

Here’s what you should be looking for:

He brought you into the picture

You asked the questions but did your flirty guy get carried away and talk only of himself? If your flirty guy wanted to hear about your interests in the subjects you brought up then that’s a good sign. If he asked questions, and if he was interested in your story, then it shows he cares.

Easy flowing conversation

Your flirty guy might have been a bit shy to start with, and even a bit awkward, but if the two of you managed to keep a conversation flowing that was light-hearted, and if he paid attention to you while maintaining good eye contact throughout your conversation it shows he’s a good listener. If you felt he was pulling away, then that’s not so good.

The future will no doubt be the real test. If he really is interested in you and there is mutual attraction, he will call or text. Patience is key.
