The world is full of incredible places to visit. That said, Bali is definitely among the top places you should visit especially for a romantic holiday. Located in South East Asia, it is one of the 17,000 islands that make up the Indonesian archipelago. Bali sits between the larger island of Java to the west and the island of Lombok to the east. It is a province of the Republic of Indonesia.

A key reason for Bali’s attractiveness is its perfect warm tropical climate, excellent food, and some of the friendliest people on earth. It’s also a blend of landscapes comprising of densely forested volcanic mountains, gorgeous beaches, as well as ancient coral reefs. These make it one of the few places in the world where you can be involved in hiking at one time of the day and later take part in sea sports. In a nutshell, Bali is a tropical paradise with a bit of everything.

Tour the Town Of Ubud

Ubud is a town located in the upland areas of Bali. This town is known for its lush green vegetation, beautiful rice paddies, tranquility, high foothills, and its culture. Ubud is the cultural center of Bali. It offers incredible sightseeing places including several magnificent temples.

Visiting the monkey forest of Ubud is a must for any Ubud visitor. The high foothills, the lush green vegetation, and superb rice paddies offer a beautiful hiking environment. While in Ubud, also take the opportunity to visit the local temples where you can take part in various religious activities including the purification ritual. It’s an incredible way to get rejuvenated.

Tegenungan waterfalls are the most popular. Activities at the falls include climbing to the top of the falls using steps made right next to the falls where incredible human-made rock monuments will amaze you.

The Tegenungan falls are often crowded, and you would have to get there early for the ultimate experience. The Tibumana falls, on the other hand, are further in the jungle and a bit tricky to get to but the fact that they are less crowded, as well the scenic views, warrants the hustle.

Visit the Beaches, Take Part in Sea Sports, and Enjoy the Marine Wildlife

Being an island, Bali offers expansive and beautiful beaches. They provide excellent sceneries with beautiful blue waters and a unique way to chill out and enjoy the moment. The sunsets are incredibly beautiful and are an ideal opportunity for photo shoots.

One of the most exciting beach activities is taking part in a sea turtle conservation activity in the Kuta region of Bali. The Bali Sea Turtle Society sponsors the event, and it involves releasing baby sea turtles hatched in safety, to the sea. The activity is open to volunteers. It sure is an excellent way to make your humble contribution to nature.

Watching the Bali Dance

The Bali dance is the signature expression of the Bali culture. It is a tradition and signifies the Balinese culture and religion – especially the Hindu religion. The locals perform it to entertain guests and on various religious occasions. It is a very expressive vigorous dance with a lot of dramatization. It will leave a lasting impression on you.

One of the advantages of touring places is being able to enjoy the local delicacies. The Balinese cuisine doesn’t disappoint. The local food is incredible. You also get a chance to prepare your local food by enrolling in cooking classes.

The local chefs take you through the local ingredients, spices, and food. You then get the opportunity to make the food under their guidance and even get to use the traditional cooking methods in preparing these dishes.

Tour the Art Villages

The Balinese have a rich culture which they pride in. This culture has remained enshrined in their way of life and is continuously passed on to the newer generations. There are art villages and markets where the Bali art pieces and craft artifacts are displayed. They make for beautiful souvenirs that will remind you of Bali several years later.

Finally

Bali is a paradise destination, and you should consider it when planning your romantic holiday. It will offer you fond memories. Besides, unlike most other tourist destinations in the world, Bali offers its beauty to all – those who are on a budget as well as those who are ready to spend big. In many ways, it is a haven of tranquility, beauty, and exhilarating scenery for all to experience.
