The magic of the holidays are upon us, and when it comes to romance, tis’ the season to be merry. There is something about the magic of the season that seems to get people in the mood for love. An whether that means planning a romantic date night out or even a holiday trip, there are plenty of options that are perfect at this time of the year.

One travel option that some people tend to forget when it comes to a romantic getaway is Disneyland. For many people, Disney is considered a place for children. But, if you are young at heart, why wouldn’t you want to go to the most magical place on Earth?

Disneyland is more than just a place to go for the kids, it is also a great choice for couples looking to explore somewhere beautiful together. From amazing food choices, fun experiences, and a beautiful castle to admire, Disney is the place to get your romance on. And at the holidays, it seems as if the park might just be even more romantic and magical.

How the Park Becomes a Holiday Wonderland

For 2 months, from the beginning of November to January 6, Disneyland transforms the park into a holiday wonderland. Every single inch of the park gets a holiday makeover with decor and ornamentation. On the Main Street of the park, there is a 60-foot Christmas tree decorated with lights and ornaments. And a second Christmas tree, standing at 50-feet can be found in California Adventure.

There are tree lighting ceremonies, carolers, events, and even holiday parades. Basically, the park finds plenty of ways to make Disney the epicenter of holiday magic.

Holiday Attractions Makeover

Two popular attractions at the park even get a makeover. Both the Haunted Mansion and It’s a Small World get the holiday treatment, which means for a short period of time it is like an entirely new ride when you visit either of these attractions.

If you have the chance to go, then you won’t want to miss either of these rides. And how much fun would it be to visit with your partner and enjoy the festivities together?

It Snows!

Nothing says holiday/winter wonderland more than snow. And luckily the park knows this. But, the snow is not an all the time thing. Unlike mother nature, Disneyland schedules when it snows.

At three times in the evening you will get the magic of snow. And the snow comes with special events. There is the Sleeping Beauty castle lighting, a second castle lighting, and the evening fireworks show. So if you find the magic of snow romantic, we think you will love getting the chance to watch fireworks, enjoy some fresh falling snow, and kiss the one you love.

Holiday Foods

Food at the park is always a magical experience and we think you could easily plan a romantic date night any time you visit Disneyland. But at the holidays, the park kicks things up a notch. In fact, there is even a Foodie Guide published by the parks to let you know where to find the seasonal offerings.

From holiday beignets that give you the joy of candy canes to the holiday cocktails, there is something for everyone. It is all about indulging in deliciousness. I mean, who wouldn’t want to share a peppermint churro with their partner, while strolling through the park checking out the decorations?

Special Events

But what would a trip to Disney be without taking part in a special event? And at the holidays, there are plenty to take part in. There is the Festival of the Holidays, the Holiday Time Tour, and Santa Claus even makes his presence known in the House of Mouse.

Basically, if you want to do something unique for the holidays, we suggest planning a trip to Disneyland. The park has basically transformed itself into a holiday wonderland that will inspire romance and fun. This is your chance to feel young at heart, while still sharing a romantic experience with your partner. And we think you will want to make a visit to the park a yearly thing, because who wouldn’t want to take the magic of the holidays and mix is with the magic of Disney?
