If you happen not to know who Rachael Ray is, she is a pretty well-known celebrity chef that owns her own network show, author of many cookbooks, such as 30-Minute Meals, and hosts a nationally syndicated talk show called “ Rachael Ray”.Alongside many of Ray’s cookbooks, she has her own brand of cookware that is popular with its bold colors and durability in the kitchen. The cookware sets are reasonably priced between $60 to $150, depending on if one were to purchase singular items or the set as a whole.

We wondered if it was really worth the hype and decided to test it out.

Here are some pros and cons that we have about the Racheal Ray cookware that we are glad to share with you!

Pro: Non-Stick

Pro: Non-Stick Pan
Con: Flimsy Utensils

The cookware set is actually pretty famous for the non-stick pots and pans. Mostly due to its’ easy-to-clean ups and that the non-stick coating is free of PFOA, which is a harmful chemical that can be found in some non-stick pans that wear out quickly over time.

While the non-stick coating does wear over-time, there is a limited lifetime warranty so that you can replace the set, the cookware sets also can come with special utensils that are created to not scratch or damage the non-stick coating over time.

Con: Flimsy Utensils

It seems that the additional utensils provided, like spatula or spoon, isn’t very durable. They are pretty flimsy and aren’t dishwasher safe. An easy fix would be to purchase your own silicon or plastic-based cooking utensils instead of using metal or wooden ones.

Pro: Cooking Evenly

Pro: Cooking Evening

The frying pan is quick to heat up and warm up evenly. You are able to have an egg sizzling within a minute of it hitting the pan. That non-stick feature is able to reveal itself the second you decide to flip that egg and meet no resistance.

The pot, which is also non-stick,  is able to have water boiling within five minutes! All saving precious cooking time, instead of slaving in the kitchen for hours.

Con: Dishwasher + Oven Safe= It Varies

Con: Dishwasher and Oven Safe= It varies

Due to the sizing and shape of some parts of the set, it has proved that it is difficult to fit them inside a dishwasher. We recommend hand washing anyway to extend the life of the product.

The Rachael Ray cookware is oven safe but the highest it can go is up to 400 degrees.

Pro: Bold Color & Sleek Designs

Pro: Bold Color & Sleek Designs

Actually very popular for this reason for the splash of color for the kitchen. Many of the Rachael Ray cookware sets offer a bold color palette that stands out from other cookware sets. The Rachael Ray set could truly tie in the aesthetic you want to provide for your kitchen. The lids are made of shatterproof glass and safe to use in an oven up to 400F. While the handles are made of stainless steel with rubberized sleeves for a better secure and comfortable grip. The handles are oven safe up to 350 degrees.

Con: High Maintenance

The cookware set is high maintenance.

We recommend that you hand wash the set for a longer life span instead of simply throwing them into the dishwasher. Hardly a game-changer but seems like a hindrance if you have a busy lifestyle. An easy solution; is to give it a good wash and use protective layering. It just seems very inconvenient if one were to have a busy household or live a fast-paced lifestyle.

Conclusion

Rachael Ray’s cookware set seems to be worth the money for the durability, style and is a reasonable price. Please share in the comment section if you used this product!
