Summer is here and it means that it’s time for fine dining outside. Chicago is one of the best cities when it comes to enjoying a meal outside, especially after surviving the long winter.

Here are 10 of the top rooftop restaurants to enjoy a fantastic meal in Chicago’s great summmer weather.

1. Little Goat

Little Goat is the best restaurant for a good meal and a great skyline view. This West Loop restaurant is a diner, but has high-quality food above typical diner fare. Try the delicious "Fat Elvis Waffles" with peanut butter and bananas or the pork belly sandwiches. The rooftop features a glowing goat that watches over customers, adding a fun ambience to Little Goat.

2.The Chop Shop

This Wicker Park restaurant has a shielded rooftop that customers will love to eat their meals on this summer. Try the scrumptious truffle fries, veggie burger, or steak atop the trendiest neighborhood in Chicago. Not only does The Chop Shop have great food, there are also live performances from bands to entertain customers, too.

This West Loop biker-themed bar and restaurant has delicious breakfast tacos and "fat boy burgers" to sample. The rooftop is a great place to enjoy the Bloody Marys and dozens of beers on tap.

501 N. Ogdent

4. Cindy’s

This downtown eatery is the jewel of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. The restaurant offers views of tourists’ favorite spot, Millenium Park, while customers eat decadent meals like lobster rolls or asparagus risotto.

12 S. Michigan

5.Homestead

This East Village restaurant has a delightful view and delectable food. The stunning patio area seats about 80 customers, while the seasonal menus keep the diners pleasantly surprised.

This summer menu includes food from the rooftop garden that features organic vegetables. Some of the items on the summer menu include soup with mayer lemon and spring chicken with seasonal vegetables.

6. Noyane

This Streeterville restaurant offers a terrific view of the Magnificent Mile. The Japanese eatery on the 21st floor of the Conrad Chicago has a rooftop that has scenic lighting and exotic cuisine like wagyu short loin ribs and tuna poke.

This Chinese rooftop restaurant atop the Peninsula Hotel has a view of the Chicago skyline. The meals offered include a four-course dim sum meal and Peking duck.

8.Beach House Social

This West Coast-inspired restaurant has a great view of Wicker Park and great bar food. You will want to try the mojo shrimp tacos or island chicken sandwiches with spicy aoili.

1551 N. Milwaukee

9. Davanti Enoteca

This Italian restaurant gives a great view of Little Italy. The 45-seat patio gives diners a cozy atmosphere while eating risotto carbonara pasta and polenta with ragu.

The spacious rooftop patio has a gorgeous view of the River North neighborhood. This rooftop restaurant has a bar right outside for diners to enjoy a cocktail, while eating tuna crudo with avocado or butterscotch-filled smores.
