It's not difficult! You just need to TRUST, and that's it.

Trust in Relationships is a fundamental part of our relations. We open our secrets and desires to someone whom we trust. We may share our personal stories or money and let them care about our children.

We hope that this trust will be justified. In psychology, trust is a positive open feeling between people. You start to trust someone only when you feel confident in him or her.

What Determines the Level of Trust in a Relationship?

The level of our trust depends on the behavior. It is worth focusing on actions, not on appearance it may be deceptive. I advise you to be careful with those who often flatter you and say too many compliments.

Try to spend more time with those people who openly can tell you the truth, even if it is not very pleasant.

How to regain lost trust

Don’t despair if the trust is lost! It can be retained again: all that you need to do is just being honest. If you see that someone who failed you in the past is honest with you now, then you may consider changing your attitude to this person.

How to learn to trust?

It’s not difficult! You just need to TRUST, and that’s it. And if you have any doubts, then ask yourself a vital question – is this an assumption or a fact? And if it is a fact, only then you can draw conclusions and make claims.

Each relationship is unique. Trust between partners develops within a certain time (usually it takes a lot of it), but without trust, it is impossible to move forward and achieve common success.

Doubts will always “slow down” any development. Therefore, if something bothers you, then the surest way to deal with it is to talk. The conversation between you and your partner should be calm.

No need to start it with reproaches, accusations, and criticism. Remember, a person is not to blame for anything until his or her guilt is proven. Your suspicions and conjectures are not proofs, but rather a violent fantasy.

Sometimes, your loved one may have a completely opposite idea of what degree of trust there should be between the spouses, or to what extent a woman should participate in the affairs of a man and what are the limits of what is permitted in the behavior of the spouses.

This situation may appear if you are dating Latina women, due to many factors and differences between our cultures.

Of course, sometimes it is clear from the first date that this is not your person, but most often such things reveal in marriage.

Another important factor is the environment, and this is not only about girlfriends or relatives. This includes the information environment, the media space which also forms our understanding of what the relationship should be.

Our confidence is crucial

The way you understand trust in a relationship is also highly influenced by your self-esteem. Obviously, the lower you evaluate yourself, the less confidently you will feel in a relationship.

In addition, there was a fashion for open relations. For people who are not confident it probably looks great, but in fact, it often happens that it suits only one person and this person openly enjoys freedom, while the other silently suffers from love for a partner and tries to accept it.

This situation may completely destroy your confidence. Never let this happen. The more self-confident you are, the happier life you will have.

Perhaps some people may have some kind of childhood trauma, because of which this person has a strong conviction that he or she is unworthy of love and cannot be the only one for someone.

Often this is what stands behind the maniacal need to control the partner, read his or her SMS and e-mail, etc.

Thus, it turns out that trust and the degree of emotional intimacy in a couple depend not only on how much you love and how much you want to trust.
